Welcome

Greetings from the Admission Office of Gaston Day School!

Thank you for your interest in our school. We are delighted that you are considering Gaston Day and hope that the information on our website will prove helpful.

Gaston Day is an exceptional nonsectarian, college-preparatory school for grades pre-kindergarten through twelve, with an enrollment of around 470 students. We are among only a few intuitions to offer rigorous and challenging academic curricula united with considerable and varied arts enrichment courses.  In addition Gaston Day instills a strong sense of civic responsibility. We require Upper School students to complete 25 hours of community service yearly, yet many of them far surpass this requirement.

Our beautiful 60-acre campus holds a state-of-the-art visual and performing arts center, student life complex including athletic training facilities, 750 seat gymnasium, and a full service dining hall. Students are encouraged to take advantage of our 30 different regionally recognized athletic teams. In fact, over 85% of our students play one or more sports!

We welcome the chance to invite you into our Gaston Day family. We encourage you to tour our campus, visit classrooms, as well as meet the faculty and current students. A tour can be arranged through my office.  Please call with questions or to request a tour. We hope to meet you soon!

Sincerely,

Martha Jayne Rhyne

Director of Admissions
